At HBC we are constantly looking for ways to improve
our perfomance and provide the best possible service
to our customers. When we were given the opportunity
via the GTMA to be involved in the FASTOOL project
we jumped at the chance. FASTOOL is a three year collaborative
research initiative supported by the European Commission.
The aim is to develop technical solutions for improving
the productivity and competitiveness of European mould
toolmakers, through advances in the following:
FASTOOL also aims to improve the career appeal
of toolmaking to a new generation of engineers.

The project is now just into its second year and the
real potential is becoming clear. We aim to play an
active role within the project and have committed
to a significant level of resource.
