September 2006 saw the 2nd
PDM show at the Telford International Centre. HBC took a stand at the show and
exhibited its new advertising campaigntheme based around the improvement and nurturing
of supplier customer relationships. On our stand we ran a competition open to all
attendees at the show challenging their skills to manoeuvre a remote control fork
lift (a miniature!) around a stylised mini factory picking up and off-loading
mini pallets. We had many entrants and much interest and after three days
of stiff competition the lucky winner was selected randomly from a hat.
The prize was a fantastic 50 MPH nitro charged model Subaru Imprezza rally car
and this was awarded to Ian Mutton, product manager Klaxon Controls who kindly
travelled to HBC to collect his prize. 'Its nice to win' Ian told us, ' .and on
closer inspection of HBC's set up and plant I am thoroughly impressed with their
professional approach' This appearance at PDM was the HBC's first major
outing to a show in some years, and the sales team are really looking forward
to assessing the benefits over the coming months of all of the contacts we made.
